TAHAA - The Vanilla Island

Sharing a common lagoon with Raiatea and accessible only by boat, Tahaa produces about 80% of all vanilla in French Polynesia. Tahaa is the only island in the Society Islands that can be completely circled by boat inside the protected lagoon. With its many deep bays and small deserted motus on the reef, Tahaa is an ideal island to escape the 20th century. Here you can explore the reef and discover the beauty of its multicolored lagoon, enjoy a picnic on a deserted motu or go hiking in the mountains and through the vanilla plantations and learn the mystery of these "orchids". With only a handful of guest houses and two hotels, Tahaa is slowly awakening to tourism and yet it still maintains an authentic flavor of Polynesia.
The newest hotel, the 5 stars Le Tahaa Privat Resort and Spa is located on a motu in the turquoise lagoon of Tahaa, 1/2 hour from the airport of Raiatea. This deluxe resort features some of the largest and best appointed bungalows in French Polynesia in an idyllic setting overlooking Tahaa, with some of the overwater bungalows offering also a view of Bora Bora in the distance. The intimate (9 bungalows) Vahine Island Resort is also on a small islet in the lagoon and was voted best "tropical hideaway" by Conde nast Traveler in 1998.

A Short Day

it was a surprisingly short day,but I wish I had time to finish the Welland trip,150 miles,50 bucks, not bad,and certainly it would have made me feel satisfied. still though, three short-distance LDs,not many miles, but was kind of productive: I,finally, tossed away my hypocritical mask, asked if it was true that I would get premiums for the short-distance LDs,and the answer was yes, it was an easy math, before tax,it was about 160 dollars, for about 6 hours,I am not gonna complain.
people say there are two things that are common among successful people: one is they work hard, and the other they work smart. I could not agree more. of course, there are a lot of people out there who are hard-working, as well as intelligent, yet the sucess rate is rather small, why? does it mean the theory can not stand? yes, it does, sometimes, one has to be a little lucky to stand out from the crowd. but the element of luck can not make any difference for those who are not diligent and industrial,in another word, luck will not knock on the door of a fool or lazyass.
so, 5 or 6 hours a day will not get me anywhere, even if I have above average IQ as I believe that I do.
